APC KATSINA STATE IS FORMIDABLE AND UNITED

Hon. Murtala Isah Kankara has dismissed claims in some quarters that the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Katsina state was factionalized, saying those aggrieved with the affairs of the party in the state should explore internal ways of resolving them.

Hon. Murtala Isah Kankara, who is the member representing Kankara/Faskari/Sabuwa Federal Constituency said any member of the party in the state trying to create disunity in the Party, was plotting the destruction of His excellency the executive Governor of Katsina State Alh. Aminu Bello Masari and President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.

“For any member to say he has been excluded is not true because as a member of APC in the state, I know the governor has called for meetings of all stakeholders more than four times and almost all the people complaining about marginalisation were in attendance and not only that their opinions were respected during such meetings. 

‘’Such vituperations were not targeted at the governor but the President because the president is a bona-fide member of APC in his ward, Local government and state and he attends meetings of Katsina APC where necessary,’’ he said. He said the governor was prepared to engage any genuinely aggrieved stakeholders in the state to address their concern. He said: ‘’honestly, the governor will sit with any aggrieved person and iron out any issue raised. ‘We will do everything possible to bring every member of the party back into our fold. 

This is democracy, democracy involves agreeing and disagreeing, it involves accepting and not accepting, you can see us tomorrow sitting eating, chatting and drinking together.’’Hon. Murtala, said: ‘’In fact, the governor is the leader of the party in the state, elected, so it is his responsibility to listen to every member of the party. He will definitely do that.’’
